The Dubai Municipality will provide operational support following an internationally standardised process of food collection, packaging, storage and distribution. Now, the non-profit charitable organisation, which launched on January 4 back in 2017 has just announced the opening of its third site in Al Muhaisnah-2 in Dubai after Al Quoz, Al Bada’a. Volunteers will also be trained on health and safety standards, providing support on-ground at UAE Food Bank locations and cooled storage. There are currently three food banks in Dubai; in Al Quoz, Al Muhaisnah-2 and Al Bada’a, with further banks in Umm Al Quwaim, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman.
